6.0/10
The hotel's rooms were small, old, and cramped with a strong smell of cigarettes and inadequate noise insulation, making it a place I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The service, however, was accommodating and friendly, though there were attempts to impose unexpected penalties on refunds. The location was vibrant and central, situated on a lively pedestrian street with numerous dining options, but cleanliness was an issue. The dining experience offered limited and tasteless options in a basement area, with no variety.

7.4/10
The hotel had small and stuffy rooms which were reasonably clean but good in size. It was convenient to 'borrow' items from the counter. The service was always available, friendly, and very supportive, although I was unexpectedly disturbed after brunch. The location was ideal for those who enjoy walking and exploring bars and restaurants nearby, even though it was noisy on weekends. The dining experience was simple but nice with a selection of pastries. The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

6.2/10
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The hotel provided clean, safe rooms in a good location, but some aspects were disappointing, like the lack of view from the window and cleanliness issues in certain areas.
Rooms
7.0
Despite some cleanliness issues like hair on the bathroom floor and in corners of the room, the rooms overall were clean, safe, and well-located for easy access to everything.
Service
6.0
The service was a bit of a mixed bag. While some staff members were friendly, others seemed more focused on money than customer satisfaction. There is room for improvement in terms of empathy and hospitality.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was a mixed bag as well. Although it was in the downtown area near popular attractions and had easy access to the metro and various dining and shopping options, the surrounding area was not ideal with noisy bars and discos around.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was average at best. The continental breakfast offered was basic, with limited options like coffee, tea, juice, and pastries. It was nothing to write home about.
Facilities
The hotel's facilities were decent, catering to basic needs without any standout features. There is room for enhancement to provide a more memorable experience.

6.8/10
The hotel room was alright. It was silent and had a view of the street and downtown tower buildings in the distance. However, the room had some issues like black scuff marks on the wall, hairs all over the sheets, and a broken bedside lamp. The noisy air conditioning fan was quite bothersome as it went on for six minutes every twenty minutes and the room was not well insulated against outside noise.
Rooms

The room was silent with a street view and downtown tower buildings in the far. However, there were black scuff marks on the wall, hairs all over the sheets of both beds, and a broken bedside lamp. The noisy air conditioning fan was a bit annoying as it went on for six minutes every twenty minutes and the room lacked insulation against noise.
Service
7.0
The service was good overall. The staff could n't speak French, but they were super helpful, and the location was easy to reach from the airport using the 747 bus and a short walk. The staff also nodded their head, showing a welcoming attitude. Housekeeping and tours/ticket assistance were also satisfactory.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was great, being on St Denis. It was fabulous, right on Saint Denis with a huge choice of restaurants and close to the bus terminal. The bus station is conveniently located just behind the hotel, and it's easy to walk to old Montreal. The proximity to Vieux-Montreal and Mont-Royal was a plus, making it highly recommended for the money.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was average. The continental breakfast offered just coffee, tea, or orange juice to drink with a choice of croissants or muffins to eat. It was more than we needed and the coffee/tea/juice and a muffin were satisfactory.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered basic facilities. Nothing extraordinary, but it had what was needed for a comfortable stay.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were clean, quiet, and offered great value for the money. However, there were some issues with the temperature control. The service was a mixed bag with friendly staff but some unprofessional behavior. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Montreal with vibrant street life, though there were concerns about bed bugs. The dining experience was basic but decent for a budget hotel. Overall, a stay with both positives and negatives.
